Term 2, Week 1

Welcome back to the new term everyone.

A special welcome and happy birthday to Darius, Ejaaz and Haylee who have joined Room 14 this week.

Our provocation this week has been Anzac Day.  We have been very busy doing lots of different Anzac crafts and activities.
Poppy prints

 Poppy badges and hair clips.

We have also enjoyed investigating with some army toys and making parachutes for some soldiers.

Some children worked collaboratively with the large blocks to construct an special army hide out.

This week we also began our swimming lessons.  Take a look at some of our super swimming stars in action!

Our big book this week has been called t-shirts.  The children love to read the book and play their air guitars while listening to the song.

We have also done some writing describing our own t-shirt designs.

With the school cross country run coming up in week 3 the students have been out practicing their running, getting fit and having fun.

On Friday the students made their very own unique poppy craft pictures using porowhita (circle) shapes as part of our geometry maths.
