Term 4, Week 6

Happy birthday and welcome to Room 14 Xavier.

On Monday we were visited by Pack the bus.  Thanks to all families for your generous contributions to the Wellington City Mission.
This week a number of our children have chosen to present their personal research.  We have had lots of posters sharing facts about favourite animals and other areas of interest.
We all had a fantastic time at our Rainbow fun trip to Chipmunks and Willowbank on Wednesday.  Joe and Robyn were so proud of all the children and their responsible behaviour.  Well done Room 14!  Thanks also to our amazing parent helpers.
On Thursday our wonderful librarian Angela read us a story about pancakes.  We all shared a wonderful treat of pancakes and jam.  Thanks Angela.
We have continued to have some other wonderful investigations happening in our class this week.  Here are just a few of the great things that have been happening.
We are looking forward to another action packed week next week.
We can't wait for the whole school picnic.

Term 4, Week 5

We have had another great week of learning in Room 14.

We have been using Investigation Time to reinforce some of our literacy and numeracy skills including some fun measuring with coloured water.

PMP continues to be a highlight of our week.  It is a great way to learn new gross motor skills which help our brains work and help our reading, writing and maths.
On Wednesday we had heaps of fun with some science experiments.  We mixed food colouring, milk and dish liquid.  We mixed and made some amazing colours and patterns.

Room 14 continues to have some amazing authors and illustrators.  Here is a small selection from some of our super star writers this week.
On Thursday we had another great cricket session learning practising our catching skills.
Joe, Robyn and Tania are super excited to seeing our Room 14 kids playing for the Blackcaps or White Ferns one day.
