Term 3, Week 3

We have had another great week in Room 14.

A lot of our focus this week has been on reading and fun books.

On Monday afternoon our librarian Angela came and read a funny story to the class.  Some of the students have been role playing the story and taking on character parts.

 

We have been spending time becoming independent readers.  Here we are reading familiar stories from our book baskets.

 

During shared book time we have been finding different types of punctuation in the story.  We are becoming great detectives at finding the punctuation and reading using punctuation.

 

We have been really enjoying the book series about 'Greedy Cat'.  On Friday we made some of our own greedy cat pictures and thought about what our greedy cats might like to eat.

 

We have continued to have great fun at Investigation times.  Here are some pictures of just a few of the things that the children have been up to.

 

We continued to enjoy our Floor ball hockey sessions on Thursday and we are getting very good at controlling our hockey sticks.

 

At PMP this week we worked on listening to and following a series of instructions.  The children were amazing at this.  It is a good way to help with our reading and writing.
