Term 2, Week 8

We have had another busy week in Room 14.  Have a look at some of the fun things we have been up to.

We love PMP.  Thanks to Rachel and Olivia who help us each week.  We couldn't do it without you!

The teachers have been really impressed with all our amazing independent writers this week.  It is great to see the progress and how the children are developing independence and extending themselves.  Well done to all our super authors.

As usual we have been busy investigating.  Here are some of our amazing students leading their own learning and making discoveries.  We particularly love the way our students work collaboratively together and can talk about their learning and discoveries.

On Thursday we started learning about Matariki.  We had great fun making and experimenting with Matariki kites.  Thanks to Annette for coming to help us.

Some of our amazing arts did some chalk Matariki designs on the concrete.  Don't they look amazing and festive.

For Friday arts the children also designed and decorated their own Matariki stars.  They chose their own shape designs and used dye for their backgrounds. Here are just a few of our creative whetu designs. We think they look AMAZING!

We are looking forward to doing some more creative Matariki learning next week.

The students graduating from Room 14 and moving to Room 8, had their second transition visit on Friday. Here are a few pictures from their fun morning. Including the display of last weeks Harold pictures.
