Term 2 Week 5

This week was Samoan language week, in Room 14 we made Siapo patterns and learnt some greetings.

We also introduced a toasting area where students worked on their fine motor skills to spread the toppings to their toast. The students also learnt about following a sequence of instructions. We also used this to learn our fractions of 1/2, 1/4, 1/3 by cutting the toast into each of these different fractions.

The students had lots of fun with the new stations set up during  PMP sessions.

We continued with our swimming lessons this week and are already seeing great progress being made by all the students.

With the nice weather this week, we managed to use the outside space to investigate in. We had an amazing autumn leaf picture, mud pies, obstacle courses and much more going on.
