Term 1, Week 7

Welcome to Room 14 Madison.  It is great to have you join our class.

This week we have enjoyed our visits from Constable Andi and learning about Road Safety.  We now know all the tricks to look out for when crossing the road.

 

Following on from our Road Safety visits.  Some of us had fun making signs to help us in the classroom.
 

We have also been very busy with our spelling and handwriting skills.

Some of us have been focusing on rhyming words and making silly sentences.

Others have been looking at handwriting shapes which help us to form our letters correctly.

 

Our word of the week has been 'look'.  We are all great at spelling look and have been writing some great look sentences with wonderful writing and illustrations.

 
On sunny Thursday we decided to investigate our shadows and used chalk to trace the outline.

On Friday we had a Pete the Cat extravaganza, we created our very own Hollywood blockbuster with illustrations of our favourite parts of the Pete the Cat 'I love my white shoes' story.

 

Later on we read Pete the cat and his four
